Austin Business stripedshirt Takes Fan-Fashion to a New High

Football fever is back in Austin! Whether sporting your favorite University of Texas colors or supporting high school football in Austin, it’s cool to be hot with fashion! And Austin business stripedshirt has taken fan-fashion to a new high with shirts built for women, kids, and babies.

“I’ve had this dream, for 12+ years, to start a company that lets sports-fan women like me support our teams and show our colors in fun, fashionable ways,” says stripedshirt founder Laura Beck. “Until now, the team and school t-shirt options for me and for my children were oversized men’s t-shirts with huge logos or names on the back. It’s time for fan-wear to be built for the rest of us!”

Started a little over a year ago in Austin, stripedshirt already offers many color combinations to support a diverse group of local teams and favorites, whether college, professional, high school, little league – even organizations. “There are a lot of folks like me, women who want to support a team, a school, a cause - in a cute way. Kids, too! When I had my daughters and went to find them cute UT shirts, they were either boys’ styles or pink with a little Longhorn sucking his thumb - no! Now my girls wear their cute, fashionable dark orange and white stripes and support the Horns in a much happier way!”

For local and local-favorite colleges, striped shirt offers UT (dark orange and white), A&M (maroon and gray), Texas State (maroon and gold), Baylor (green and white), and SMU (blue and red). And whether Austinites have Circle C homes, Lake Travis homes, or Barton Creek homes, they love to support their high schools, where Friday night football games are a rite of passage. Stripedshirt’s Austin-area high school choices abound:

·       Austin High School (maroon and gray)

·       Bowie High School (red and black)

·       Cedar Park High School (green and white)

·       Connally High School in Pflugerville (green and white)

·       Lake Travis High School (red and black)

·       Leander High School (red and blue)

·       McNeil High School (green and white)

·       Round Rock High School (maroon and gray)

·       Rouse High School in Leander (maroon and gold)

·       Vista Ridge High School in Leander (red and black)

·       Westlake High School (red and blue)

·       Westwood High School (dark orange and white)

Beck says Austin has been a wonderful place to live and be an entrepreneur. “Austin is the place to start this business, any business - because people here are very supportive and encouraging. We really do like to ‘support the home team’ and give our business and money to folks who are local and doing it themselves. I've had huge support in the past year!”

Austin luxury home Realtor Brian Talley loves to support the Longhorns and is excited to see local Austin businesses succeed. If you are interested in living in our vibrant entrepreneurial community, perform an Austin Home Search on his Regent Property Group website.
