Circle C Ranch Neighborhood in Austin TX
A master-planned community in southwest Austin, Circle C Ranch was established in the late 1980s and now features thousands of single-family homes. The neighborhood, which takes up the land around Slaughter Lane and MoPac, boasts a “Hill Country feel,” just 15 minutes away from downtown.
Circle C Ranch is one of the most popular Austin neighborhoods with some of the highest number of homes sold each year. Most homes range in size from 1,500 to 5,000 square feet with an average of 4 bedrooms. Prices are around $200,000 to $500,000, with a few elite homes above that range. The neighborhood’s popularity comes from its family-friendly setting, easy access to major highways, and fine amenities for its residents. It also boasts several highly ranked schools: Kiker Elementary School, Clayton Elementary School, Mills Elementary, Clint Small Middle School, the newly built Diane Elaine Gorzycki Middle School, and Bowie High School.
Residents of Circle C Ranch are primarily families with young children. The wide array of community amenities make it an ideal place to raise a family. The neighborhood is most easily accessible by car. Although some community venues are within walking distance, the rest of Austin is best reached by driving, as there are only a small number of bus stops in the area.
Circle C Ranch has several recreational opportunities for children and families alike. The Gray Rock Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course makes its home here, as well as the only heated Olympic-size swimming pool in Southwest Austin. The neighborhood also boats nearly 500 acres of parks, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend afternoon. Residents can play basketball and volleyball, picnic with family, and walk along miles of hike and bike trails. The Veloway, a popular bike path, is also located just across the highway. It is a 23 foot wide paved path over 3 miles long designed solely for bicyclists and rollerbladers.
Circle C Ranch puts residents within minutes of several dining and entertainment venues. The Circle C Café is a popular spot during the summer, with its delicious burgers, salads, and pizzas. Waterloo Icehouse has been an Austin favorite for more than 30 years and serves up a wide selection of beers and American dishes. Residents are just minutes from Escarpment Village, which is a new shopping plaza in the Circle C Ranch area that has several retail buildings, a large H.E.B, well-known dining establishments, and more. The project was part of a “Green Building” initiative which used local stone, native plants, and recycled steel in the construction and landscaping of the plaza.
