This heavily treed community will focus on maintaining its natural surroundings via greenbelts and parkland, presently abundant with the Barton Creek Golf Course/Fazio Canyon just on the other side of Southwest Parkway.

Oak Hill Elementary, Clint Small Middle School, and Austin High School serve the student population of the Ridge at Lantana. Clint Middle School is also a Recognized school, newly built in 1998.
