Native Texan Ted Lear knows the love fellow Texans have for their land and their homes. Born in Kaufman, Texas, Lear was raised with the old-fashioned, tried and true values that Texans cherish. “Don’t get above your raisin’” and “Dance with the one that brought you,” are time honored staples that have worked well for Lear in his current position as owner of The Lear Company, a leading real estate appraisal company in Austin.

The Lear Company provides appraisals for primary and secondary mortgages, mortgage refinancing, employee relocation services, private mortgage insurance removal, estate planning services and more. Lear keeps his company’s rates competitive by offering on-line appraisal ordering, combined with automatic report status updates and electronic information delivery.

I try to look at everything to make sure they get the best value,” says Lear. “I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, and I know what it’s like to be just starting out with a small budget, or wanting to invest my hard-earned money wisely. That’s why I strive to provide the best appraisal service I possibly can. I work with my clients every step of the way, because I want the best for them, and ultimately, the best for the Austin community. Lear has built an amazing track record of dedication to his community through his involvement in church and his dedication to his family. While pursuing his BBA from The University of Texas at Austin, Lear was (and continues to be) active with the Westlake Bible Church in various roles, including youth leader, adult Sunday school teacher and coordinator, and Worship Service host and usher. He is also involved with Young Life, an inter-denominational ministry to high school students, serving as volunteer leader and on the area support committee.
